Quality Assurance

We believe in being proactive in change. At Bryden House we know that the only way to improve is to strive for 'excellence' rather than settling for 'good' standards. We aim to be one of, if not the best, care home in the Kidderminster area. With this in mind, we are continually reviewing our performance through various measures in order to identify areas for improvement.

We actively seek the opinions of family and friends via a questionnaire at the start of each year (normally January) which addresses multiple areas of service delivery and the environment. In addition to this we encourage feedback at all times; to this end, we have a suggestion and feedback box within the reception area so please feel free to complete and post or hand to management for our attention. Feedback can also be provided online via this website (under your views).

We conduct '360 degree' appraisals for management and implement a dedicated appraisal and supervision program for staff.

Management also conduct 5 surveys each year for residents, covering the core elements of care:

  • Well led
  • Effective
  • Responsive
  • Caring
  • Safe

These results can be found in the reception area of the Home and also on our Survey Results page.

Resident meetings are conducted to look at how we can improve regarding all aspects of care from menus to activities.

Any areas identified for improvement are discussed with the owners at prescribed meetings with action then taken to improve, so that we provide a service of the highest quality possible within the constraints of the resources available.
